The flow velocity probe combined with a unique turbine propeller sensor, using the most accurate positive displacement technology, can be used for flow velocity sensing. The design of the turbine propeller can remove debris and is protected within a 2-inch diameter casing. The probe housing can be placed directly at the bottom of pipelines or riverbeds, and can measure low flow velocities up to a minimum depth of 2 inches. The blades of the flowmeter can rotate freely on the bearings without mechanical connection, thus minimizing friction. The magnetic material inside the blade end generates electrical pulses through the pickup point of the water flow rate meter handle, which are transmitted to the reading display through internal cables. The turboprop can be easily removed for cleaning or replacement.
Water flow velocity computer
The water flow velocity computer receives an electrical signal from the propeller, amplifies the signal, and converts it into a reading of feet per second (or meters per second, according to programming). The large LCD screen displays the average, minimum, and maximum water flow rate readings. The water flow rate computer can store up to 30 sets of minimum, maximum, and average data readings. These data can be viewed and analyzed on a computer screen. The water flow rate computer comes with a waterproof casing and 4 buttons for changing functions and resetting the monitor. The water flow rate computer works with batteries and can be used continuously for about 5 years, with a low battery alarm display.
Flow velocity probe handle
The handle of the flow probe can be extended and retracted, with a length range of FP111: 1.1-1.8m; FP211:1.7-4.6m; FP311:0.76-1.7m。 The handle is made of anodized aluminum, which is lightweight and has a long lifespan. The 4.6-meter-long FP211 flow velocity probe can measure sewer flow velocity from the road surface and stream flow velocity from low bridges. The FP311 flow velocity probe with a contracted length of 0.76m is easy to bring to remote flow velocity monitoring areas. A 0.9-meter (0.5m for FP311) handle measuring ruler with polyester coating (0.01 feet and centimeter scale) is attached to the lower part of the water flow velocity probe handle for real-time water depth measurement and precise turbine positioning.
True average flow velocity
The velocity probe can be used to measure the true average velocity of water flow in ditches. As long as the turboprop sensor is in the water flow, the computer will average the water velocity. Obtain a reading per second and display the continuous average water flow velocity. To obtain the true average flow velocity, slowly move the flow velocity probe across the cross-section to be measured. Once the reading stabilizes, the true average water flow velocity of the cross-section is obtained. This can measure flow velocity with high accuracy, averaging the different flow velocities that appear across the entire cross-section of the water flow with waves. The average water flow velocity can be saved by pressing the SAVE button for future viewing.
Optional rotating probe
The rotating probe can rotate the turbine by ± 90 ° from the standard position. This option allows the flow probe to measure flow velocity in areas that are difficult to measure, such as vertical pipes on water containers or swimming pool drainage systems.
Optional collimation wing
When measuring the water flow velocity in non parallel directions, significant errors may occur. When the end of the probe cannot be seen due to water depth or turbidity, the collimating fins of the velocity probe can help orient the velocity probe parallel to the direction of the water flow. When in use, immerse the flow velocity probe in water and rotate it back and forth until the resistance caused by the water flowing through the collimating blade is felt to be minimal.
